Content Management Systems Offer a Cost Effective Solution to Company’s Website Needs
March 17, 2011 – Fuquay-Varina – Internet users have always demanded websites with the most intuitive and flexible design since their inception. This makes reaching them effectively a constant challenge for companies. Creating a website and updating it can be an expensive and overwhelming task due to the amount of programming knowledge or resources necessary. Galvanek and Wahl’s implementation of Content Management Systems (CMS) offers an affordable solution to these high quality website demands.
Many of Galvanek & Wahl’s clients have been starting with or upgrading to CMS websites, like WordPress, because they are ready to take advantage of the intuitive and versatile capabilities it offers. WordPress is supported by a knowledgeable user community to make sustaining a well crafted website easier than ever. Changing content and pictures are simple and mimic things many people are familiar with such as Facebook or Microsoft Word.
An added benefit to CMS websites is the easy search engine optimization (SEO) which ensures the right search results. Frequent content and “meta-tag” updates increase search engine recognition moving your website up on Google or Yahoo’s list. Instead of pricier alternatives, CMS websites can be edited by the user without buying books or taking programming classes. It’s too expensive to hire a programmer even to fix a tiny problem. Having Galvanek and Wahl facilitate CMS integration to your new or existing website can save you time and money.
According to Paxton Galvanek, Galvanek & Wahl Part Owner/CEO, “Content Managed websites are the future of website development. For years website were designed with standard HTML code giving customers a difficult situation when updates or changes are needed. With CMS website our customers can now easily make updates and changes to their websites. These updates not only make the website search engine friendly but give the site a modern/current feel. In addition to the ability for our customers to update their website, all sites include Social Networking, SEO, Analytics and Form tools/plugins.”
CMS websites offer, what Galvanek and Wahl believes to be, the most intuitive and effective internet based solution out there to date.

Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency Launches Two Grassroots Websites for REBNY (Real Estate Board of New York)
New Jersey, February 22, 2010 — Award-winning Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency has recently designed and launched two websites for REBNY. The two sites movethetrial.com and buildthestation.com are aimed at raising public awareness about two public issues near and dear to the hearts of many New Yorkers. The agency which has locations in New Jersey and North Carolina designed two unique brands and got each of the sites up and running in a couple of days because of the timeliness of the issues that the pages represent.
Movethetrial.com is a site dedicated to moving the 9/11 terror trials out of NYC. REBNY like many citizens of New York and public officials believe the trials pose a significant financial burden to the city and its citizens. From the website: “The security measures needed to ensure public safety like permanent street closing and additional security provisions, will strangle the already weakened local economy and damage local businesses”. This issue is getting a lot of press at the moment and the website has been featured on the Fox News Channel, The Washington Post, The New York Post and many other media outlets. The website played a key role in The White House’s decision to reconsider the location of the trials. The issue is currently on the table for renegotiation in Washington.
Buildthestation.com is another site created for REBNY by Galvanek & Wahl in a grassroots effort to move forward with the building of a new subway station at 41st Street and 10th Avenue. The project was approved then canceled due to lack of funds. 1,500 new construction jobs, 24,447 new jobs from new businesses that would pop up in the area and 14,400 new residents are at stake with the cancelation of the project. REBNY and many citizens are dismayed that this project was canceled and would like to see it completed as soon as possible.
Paxton Galvanek the Partner and CEO of Galvanek and Wahl Advertising Agency said “Our agency was honored to receive these two projects and we look forward to a long term relationship with REBNY. The creative team at Galvanek & Wahl did an outstanding job in the development of the unique brands and websites with only a short amount of time. Working on projects that have an impactful mission and goal is fulfilling for Galvanek & Wahl and will hopefully help change the community for the better. “

Chamber Launches New Web Site & Brand
June 5, 2009- The Fuquay-Varina Area Chamber of Commerce is thrilled to unveil its new website and logo which come as a part of its effort to strengthen its brand and communicate effectively with members and the community. The launch officially happened on Friday, June 5.
Last summer the Chamber’s Marketing Committee undertook an effort to survey our members and the community as to what makes Fuquay-Varina a great place to live and do business. The results of that survey led to a new branding for the Chamber of which the website and new logo are reflective.
“Our new website, logo, and the chamber’s new messages embody those qualities that chamber members told us are uniquely Fuquay-Varina’s”, said Stephen Peacock of Peacock Creative Services and Chair of the Marketing Committee. “Together they reflect the opportunity for growth that is so deeply rooted in our chamber’s mission while acknowledging the friendliness and charm of the town that our businesses call home.”
The survey showed what most of us have known all along, that Fuquay-Varina is a place of growth while still being able to hold on to the warmth and charm that has always been part of our town. The new website is designed to bring this message to others.
The first thing you might notice is our new logo. The logo was designed with our key messages is mind. It portrays the area growth and opportunity, depicted by the leaves, while the friendliness and openness of the area by the “V” forming a person with their arms open in celebration and welcome.
The site is designed to be easy to navigate and find what people are looking for. Whether it is information about the Chamber, life in Fuquay-Varina or the economic climate, those visiting the site will be able to learn more about our town. With almost 5,000 people visiting the site each month, many from outside the area, it is our opportunity to give Fuquay-Varina a great first impression. Whether the visitor is a business or individual, we want them to feel welcome.
The site immediately has a few improvements over the previous site. For one, the Chamber’s calendar has been improved from being only a 30 day calendar, to a perpetual calendar. The calendar also has the capability to list more than just Chamber events and to be searched. The site also has the ability for job openings to be posted by our members, as well as a weather link for the local forecast.
Some future improvements will be the ability for members to add key search words to their profile to make their services easier to find, add an advertisment to their listing, post special events and offerings they are having, community organizations to add events to the calendar, and a photo gallery to let people see the beauty and charm of our town.
Please join us in thanking the volunteer members of the Chamber’s Marketing Committee for their long dedication to this effort, Chair Stephen Peacock, Drew Becker, Joanne Bouchard, Christie Cook, Paxton Galvanek, and Becky Medlin, A special thanks goes to Roaring Aardvark, web designers, for donating their time and talent to developing the new website, and to Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency for donating their time and talent to design the chamber’s new logo.
All our members and the public are invited to visit the new website and see the tremendous results of this combined effort. The site is located at: www.fuquay-varina.com.

New Application Allows Prospective Students to InterACT with Campus
Jan 16, 2009 – Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency has just put the finishing touches on an all new, completely interactive web application for campus tours. InterACT (the Interactive Application for Campus Tours) is a completely customizable virtual walk-through of high school and college campuses that allows prospective students to “visit” their potential schools without ever having to leave the comfort of their own home.
Creator of InterACT and President/CEO of G&W, Paxton Galvanek, explains that “InterACT will completely change the way students research potential schools. Now, they’ll be able to get an in-depth look at campus facilities and hear first-hand what the school has to offer them from actual students and teachers. It’s the next generation of campus tours!”
The application is completely customized for each school, featuring video clips starring actual students and teachers from each school and filmed entirely on location. The application takes potential students on a virtual tour of the campus by allowing them to select from several clickable areas on a campus map. Each area is populated by several videos corresponding to the school’s most marketable feature.
InterACT has already been utilized by the Peddie School, a prestigious private high school located in Hightstown, NJ. Peddie contracted G&W in the summer of 2008 to develop a fully interactive online tour that would educate and engage potential students. G&W developed the creative concept, managed all production, and developed their unique online tour application. The G&W development team worked closely with the Peddie Admissions Department to ensure that all core messaging was incorporated into the film segments and the design team worked closely with Peddie’s IT department to ensure the application worked seamlessly on the Peddie School servers. The online tour application contains a map of the school grounds, 9 clickable areas, 37 video clips, and the ability to navigate around the school grounds by clicking on areas of interest. To take the tour for yourself, visit www.peddie.org/InteractiveTour.
Sean Casey, Director of Marketing & Communication for Peddie describes his experience with InterACT in saying, “As one of the top independent boarding schools in the country, here at Peddie, we were looking for a partner to create a more dynamic user-controlled experience on our website, merging video production and interactive web development. Galvanek & Wahl rose to the challenge by helping us create an interactive campus tour where our prospective families not only get a sense of our remarkable facilities, but more importantly, an appreciation for our wonderfully talented faculty and student body.”

Going Green for New Client Projects
Apr 11, 2008 – Local advertising agency, Galvanek & Wahl, has noticed a change in the message that their clients want to send to the public: go green! As eco-friendly products and services and initiatives to promote sustainability flood the marketplace, more companies are beginning to do their part to promote a more environmentally friendly way of life, and G&W is there to help them communicate this message along the way.
As global climate change continues to become a pressing issue, many companies have chosen to advertise their commitment to reducing their negative impact on the environment. Recently, G&W designed a campaign for Cartridge World of Greater Boston to bring to light the negative impacts that purchasing a new ink cartridge rather than recycling a used one can have on the environment. According to CEO of G&W, Paxton Galvanek, “I was shocked when I discovered the statistics. Knowing that an ink cartridge can take up to 450 years to decompose in a landfill has changed my consumption patterns. I knew that it was important for our team to design materials that exposed the scary truths about the future of our environment if we don’t change our behaviors now.”
G&W’s “Green is the new black ink” campaign for Cartridge World already consists of print materials, promotional items, and a trade show booth that Cartridge World plans to use at eco-friendly conferences. G&W tailored Cartridge World’s message to focus on sustainability and the environment while at the same time communicating the cost savings that Cartridge World offers to all of its customers.
In addition to Cartridge World, other G&W clients have expressed interest in green marketing and advertising. Bristol-Myers Squibb recently contracted G&W to write and produce an internal communication video to kickoff their “Go Green” initiative. The Go Green 60 second video consists of short video clips and textual reminders that even small changes to your daily routine can result in a large impact on the environment in the future.
Galvanek & Wahl is a full-service advertising agency with two locations, one in Manville, NJ and another in Fuquay-Varina, NC. Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency Provides Pro Bono Work for Cancer Education Organization
Jan 07, 2008 – Central New Jersey’s Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency has recently announced a pro bono partnership with the American Cancer Educational Services (ACES) to provide branding, web design, promotional materials, and print collateral for the non profit organization. G&W launched a newly redesigned ACES website (www.focusoncancer.org) that is not only aesthetically superior, but easier for users who are seeking cancer information to navigate. ACES provides a clear, concise, reliable online cancer education resource that strives to help people better understand cancer and enables patients to make smarter choices on their treatments and understanding. The ACES slogan is simple, “We Inform, You Decide”.
The partnership with ACES is not G&W’s first foray into pro bono work. Previously, G&W has done work for the SLE Lupus Foundation and the Lupus Research Institute to raise awareness about clinical trials for lupus in order to gather information on treatments, prevention, and a cure. The foundation’s website (www.lupustrials.org) incorporates the brand developed by G&W and the campaign successfully increased traffic online from 200 to 5,000 views per month. The branding work also included the “Lupus Together Awareness Brochure,” a Summit Marketing Effectiveness Award winner.
“We are honored that ACES has allowed us to work so closely with them in the fight to make accurate information on cancer available to the public. G&W firmly believes that it is our social responsibility to do pro bono work for non profit organizations that may not have the resources to properly promote themselves,” says G&W partner and CEO, Paxton Galvanek.
Galvanek & Wahl’s plans for the ACES campaign include an extensive re-branding campaign that will feature a new ACES logo, a new website, and numerous print and promotional materials to help raise awareness about the organization, its goals, and fundraising opportunities. G&W will also re-brand the fundraising division of ACES which is called the “American Cancer Fund”; the new brand will have a similar look and feel to the new ACES brand.
Galvanek & Wahl is a full-service advertising agency based out of Manville, NJ that focuses on branding, web design, print, direct mail, TV, radio, and promotions. G&W has recently done work for several high profile clients including Coldwell Banker, Everbank Reverse Mortgage, Co., and their award winning work for Bristol Myers Squibb.

November 20, 2007 -G&W Ad Agency produced eight and shot two national TV spots for Jamestown Associates and their client Freedom’s Watch, an organization that is attempting to maintain Republican support for President Bush’s policies. The ads received national attention in several media outlets including articles in the New York Times and the Los Angeles Times and on nationally broadcast network television shows such as CNN’s The Situation Room, NBC’s Nightly News, and NBC’s the Today show.

G&W partner and CEO, Paxton Galvanek, stated that working with Jamestown Associates on the Freedom’s Watch campaign was “an honor and a privilege. The soldiers and their families had an emotionally charged message to send to the American people. We are grateful that we had the opportunity to help communicate their message.”

The national campaign, which sought to raise awareness about clinical trials for lupus in conjunction with the Lupus Research Institute (LRI), was chosen as a winner among hundreds of other entries.
The Summit International Awards (SIA) organization is dedicated to rewarding excellence in the communications industry by sponsoring competitions in which companies and individuals from all over the world submit their work for evaluation. Only the best of these submissions are chosen to receive one of the company’s three awards: Emerging Media Award, Summit Creative Award, and Marketing Effectiveness Award.
The Marketing Effectiveness Award acknowledges the contribution of advertising on the overall impact of a marketing campaign and the influence of this advertising on a consumer’s knowledge, attitudes, and beliefs. Of all of the submissions given to SIA, only 15.5% were given the honor of marketing effectiveness. The Lupus clinical trial awareness campaign was chosen as one of the winners.
The goal of the Lupus Clinical Trials campaign was to increase awareness about the importance of clinical trials in order to gather information on treatments, prevention, and a cure. Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency to Raise Awareness about Lupus
April 12, 2007 – Galvanek & Wahl Advertising Agency is proud to announce that it has been chosen by the SLE Lupus Foundation and the Lupus Research Institute to head up their upcoming campaign to raise awareness about clinical trials for lupus, a debilitating disease that affects nearly 1.5 million people in America. Systemic lupus erythematosus (SLE) is a chronic autoimmune disease in which the body’s immune system becomes hyperactive, forming antibodies that attack normal tissues and organs, including the skin, joints, kidneys, brain, heart, lungs, and blood, instead of foreign invaders. Ninety percent of lupus victims are women between the ages of l5 and 44. To date, there is no known cause or cure for this debilitating and sometimes fatal disease. Early detection and treatment can help lessen its progression and severity, though existing medications are highly toxic and can have adverse side effects.
A number of organizations have been established to help find a cure for lupus through extensive research and testing. The SLE Lupus Foundation was formed in 1970 to promote awareness through public service television campaigns and other educational programs. The foundation funds research grants in the New York area, and is a primary supporter of new science in lupus in partnership with the national nonprofit organization, the Lupus Research Institute (LRI). Established in 1999, the LRI has awarded nearly $20 million in grants to scientists at leading institutions nationwide.
G&W is currently preparing to launch “Lupus Together for Clinical Trials Now,” a national campaign that will raise public awareness about lupus and provide patients with information about clinical trials. These studies are performed to gather information and to test drugs, medical devices, or diagnostic tools. The Food and Drug Administration requires clinical trials to be performed to prove the safety and effectiveness of a product before it can be prescribed. “My sister has lupus, so being able to apply the talents of our agency toward raising national awareness and finding better treatments is not only an honor to G&W, but is personally rewarding,” says partner Jessica Galvanek. Previously, G&W had worked with leading pharmaceutical company Bristol-Myer Squibb on clinical trial campaigns for advanced breast cancer, type 2 diabetes, rheumatoid arthritis, and advanced colorectal cancer. To learn more about lupus and clinical trials, visit www.lupusny.org or www.lupusresearchinstitute.org.

The prestigious international award is administered and judged by the Association of Marketing and Communication Professionals, an organization founded over ten years ago as a means to honor outstanding achievement and service to the communication profession. The Association is made up of several thousand marketing, communication, advertising, public relations, media production and free-lance professionals. Entrants each year include corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, PR firms, design shops, production companies and freelancers.
