Paxton Galvanek wins 5 Prestigious Video/Film Awards
Galvanek & Wahl Chief Executive Officer Paxton Galvanek took home five key video/film awards in 2005, including two Telly Awards, an Aurora Award, and two Aegis Awards.
“I am extremely proud of these awards and of all of the projects I have worked on,” Galvanek says. “I look forward to creating more award-winning videos in the future.”
The Telly awards were for the drug Abilify, which targets schizophrenia and bipolar depression. The campaign Galvanek produced included an American Idol takeoff called “Neuroscience Idol” and a Capitol One/David Spade takeoff called “No. No. No.”
Galvanek’s Aurora Award was for a documentary-style piece for HAART (Highly Active Anti-Retroviral Therapy) called “The Art of HAART.” The video discusses the art, art history and lifestyles of people living with HIV, and it was displayed proudly at various HIV/AIDS awareness events.
The first of Galvanek’s two Aegis awards was for an educational video about reverse mortgages for BNY Mortgage Company. Galvanek’s second Aegis award was for an awareness video for the AHA American Heart Walk. Co-produced by Brandon LaBar, the video discusses the details of heart disease and how it can be cured and prevented. |
